Our group devotions will be in the book of James this week, so President Evan Ramos started us in chapter one. John V also shared a word from Matthew 28:19-20 that greatly encouraged all of us.
We hung loose for a bit while waiting for part of our crew John N and John V) went into town to get Internet. Couldn't get a connection.
We went to "the cabin" where we will be shooting three scenes to clean it up. The place is a mess. The crew cleaned and swept and removed light fixtures and electrical outlets, repainted and put new window trim up in order to make the place look livable and like it was around in the 1860's. Actually, the place was so old and deteriorated that it kind of did anyhow, but not in the right way. Kayleen got some good BTS footage and didn't help clean a bit, but promises she was working just as hard.
Meanwhile back at the creek, Matt B, John N, JC, and John N set up the zip line. It was great fun. The pulley only holds 132 lbs. and JC was concerned about his camera falling into the water when he will ride on the zipline later this week. We're looking forward to that. We'll be sure to have ALL BTS cams ready. John V is sure those will be some of our coolest shots.
Lunch.
Blocked and finalized the rest of the scenes. Lots of driving again.
Came out to the big town with a whoppin (guessing) 20 Okies living here, where they have a really cool, vacant, rustic '50's Full Service Station. They're ahead of their time too--FULL Internet Service.
Gotta run for Rachel's birthday party....
