Thursday

Howdy from OK! It's been a very full couple days since we arrived at the ranch.

Right now we are at an old '50's fuel station in a town with (guessing) maybe 20 people. :D

Wednesday afternoon everyone made it safely to the ranch, though we got a bit turned around on the way. In the evening, we had a planning meeting (we do a lot of those in DCFM), hashing out logistical details from the storyboard. Matt, JC, the other Matt, Susan, Rachel, Hannah, Jaclyn, Kayleen, Aaron and Mrs. W were all present. We went to bed around midnight.

Thursday we woke up bright and early. Well, maybe not bright. Up at 5 am to go out for a light check at the south ranch. JC did his light test, then we drove around to verify locations (it's a big place). The ride was so bumpy the DP and Sound Tech started dozing in the trunk.

Breakfast.

Went out to walk through the battlefield scenes so we would be sure of our shots and where the actors will be. And the cannon. We finally all got on the same page and understood how it would play out. The Director's favorite moment was at the end of those two hours when it all came together.

Director Bradley drew up some new storyboards from our walk-through, and JC spent some time showing Matt what his computer could do.

This was Thursday, going just as we had scheduled the night before.
